Blue House! First Lady of South Korea! 김정숙여사님 ❤️

I wanted to share with you guys about my visit to Blue House and meeting with First Lady of South Korea, 김정숙여사님 ( First Lady Kim Jung Sook).

The Blue House in Korean:청와대 and Hanja: 靑瓦臺; Cheong Wa Dae that literally means "Pavilion of blue tiles", for those who don't know about the Blue House; Blue House is actually an executive office and official residence of South Korea President and its located in the capital city of Seoul actually behind the most famous Gyeongbukgung Palace.

Upon on their visiting ASEAN countries, First Lady has invited students from Malaysia, Brunei, and Cambodia that studies in South Korea to the presidential office. 

So we all been gathered at ASEAN main office in Seoul before going to the Blue House, we been brief and explain about protocol during the visit. The security check is a no joke, you need to show your passport and went into the metal detector machine just like the one that they have in the airport. Its feel like in the drama where all the security were suited up and wearing those dark sunglasses. We have been shown a video about the history of Blue House before going into the Blue House compound. 

The scenery inside the Blue House compound is soo beautiful, the landscape is nice and you won't feel like you were in the middle of the city. After arriving at the main presidential office, we are lined up to greet the First Lady. It was like attending the Oscar red carpet because all the photographer and media were busy capturing the moment when the First Lady arrived. She is wearing a dress that the pattern is design based on South Korea flag (태극기), I was starstruck because she is gorgeous and humble.

Suddenly, I'm blessed by my height; she called me to walk with her to the main hall because I'm quite small to compare to the others (by saying small is related to height not weight). The feeling when she grabs my hand was indescribable (First Lady hand guys!!!). The things are all the photographer started to take their position and the red carpet event is happening again but this time with me beside her. 

We then enter the hall, and I seated opposite/in front of her. I can call this meeting as a Tea Party where we discuss about current issues that related to our life in South Korea and how to promote the ASEAN countries to the world while enjoying our tea and dessert. 

So before we finish, First Lady asked us to look at the paper bag that she had prepared for us; little that we know that we will receive a limited edition watch from the President of South Korea, Presiden Moon Jae In. 

The same watch that BTS receive, so at least I have something in common with the worldwide super famous Kpop Group. After the visit, we have appeared in a lot of national news. Like I said before the feeling is indescribable. I just put a screenshot of the article as a proof :)

That all I guess and what I can conclude is it was a once in the lifetime experience to meet the lovely South Korea first lady 김정숙여사님 ❤️ such and honored for me to be seated in one room, having tea and get a chance to speak with her at the Blue House and I still can't believe that I get a chance to involve with this prestigious program.

COEX, Convention and Exhibition Center (코엑스, 한국종합무역센터)

Hello Guys!! 안녕하세요!!!

So today I will share about COEX -Convention and Exhibition Center (코엑스, 한국종합무역센터), the main attraction that you can get here is Starfield Library and SMTown. Starfield Library is a library located in the middle of a mall, the view of this library is so nice and you guys need to capture a picture in this library. This library is fully functional; like you can read and do your work here.

As you guys know SM is an entertainment company that manages many popular idols group like EXO, NCT, Red Velvet, Super Junior, Girl Generations and etc. If one of your favorite group are those that I mention, you guys should visit here, they provide many activities and the common area here in this building are FREE!!!! so you can enter it freely unless you are craving for more such as SMTown Museum or Theater where you can enjoy SM Artist performance (not a live one tho but super high quality recorded concert or special performance that they make for their fans).

You can buy original merchandise and chill around their cafe. You can even purchase cupcakes that have your idols group logo and faces. If you guys get lucky, sometimes SMTown Artist will come and surprise their fans, so don't feel weird if you sees a lot of people waiting at the cafe. 

for muslim, you guys don't need to worry if you need to perform the prayer there is a prayer room in COEX since these places usually use as a convention and exhibition that been attended by people around the world.

How to get there:
Samseong Station (Seoul Subway Line 2) is directly connected to the basement.
-toward exit 5 or 6 and you will notice the connected basement.

2019 WOWKOREA SUPPORTERS...

Hello Guys!!!! 안녕하세요!!!!

So this is year, my friend Edi Utomo Putra and I will team up and try our luck on applying for WOW KOREA Supporters. WOWKOREA  are recruiting the new supporters, we would like to take this opportunity to be part of this family. Luckily for us, we were called for the interview this Friday (19th April 2019) which us luck guys!!

If we been accepted for this program, we will share everything with you guys especially for people from Malaysia and Indonesia. 

For those who are wondering what is WOWKOREA :

WOWKOREA is a program under Korea Tourism Organization that are recruiting people from Middle East and South-East Asia living in Korea to participate in a program called ‘Wow Korea Supporters’ – creating media content on the internet after travel and experiencing Korean culture.

We are looking for participants who are not just interested in travelling, but also want to experience and communicate with culture of Korea, and want to tell it to the worlds through SNS.

Seoul National Cemetery

Hello guys!!! 안녕하세요!!

So last week my friend and I decided to have a picnic at Seoul National Cemetery. This is not a scary looking cemetery at all! since the view was so amazing. It seems peaceful for both living or not for me. Because its spring the cherry blossom really take the scenery to the next level. From my point of view, the cherry blossom here is a bit different from other places that I have been to. The cherry blossom tree here the branches are lower than others and the flower looks like water drop (you will understand from the picture I think).

I would love to comes here again for autumn. The reasons why we choose this location because not many people come here. Unlike Yeouido here you can actually take a decent picture without any photobomb by other people that you don't even know. I have been to Yeouido 3 years ago and you can't really take pictures with the tree or flower since there are too many people. Here is more peaceful and the scenery is so amazing. I can't even describe it. This place is a must visit places for spring, autumn and winter (actually all seasons). 

Location: Dongjak station line 4 and 9 (Exit 8).

In case you guys are wondering what kind of camera that I used, I only use my iPhone 7Plus and edit all my photo using SNOW apps.

Cherry Blossom spot in Seoul

Here some places that you need to go if you are hunting for Cherry Blossom here in Seoul! I already put the subway station and which exit you should take in the picture!

Hanbok Rental?

When you come to another country is like compulsory to experience their culture. Same goes to South Korea, wearing Hanbok is a must in your to-do list when you visit the land of the morning calm. Hanbok is a Korean traditional attire, it being worn daily up until 100 years ago. Hanbok comes in various design and colors, reflecting the culture and lifestyle of its time. But nowadays it is only worn on special occasions or anniversaries.

In Korea, you can wear it by renting it at a nearby store that usually located near to the palace. The one that I wore cost me about 9000won for 2 hours, depends on the promotions. So, choose wisely since there's a store that charges you around 20,000won for 2 hours. 

By the way, did you know if you wear hanbok you can enter the palace for FREE! you don't need to buy the admission ticket, the entrance ticket is about 3000won with just adding 6000won you can enjoy roaming around the palace wearing Hanbok.

  

The place that I rent is called King Hanbok located at Gyeongbukgung station line 3, Exit 4.

Photo trick in the Palace! Make sure to take a photo at the pillar, the results are awesome!

Have fun wearing Hanbok! and try to take a lot of photos. Trust me you won't regret it.
