Danyang is located in Chungcheongbuk-do Province maybe not many of you know about it and if you are wondering what will Danyang serve you, you come to the right place ㅋㅋㅋ. By the way if you do some research about Danyang, you will know that Danyang has eight areas designated as the most beautiful sceneries in Danyang.
The first activity that you could do is cruising through South Korea largest lake by Cheongpung Lake Ferry and enjoy the amazing view of Gudambong, Sainam, and Oksunbong which also a part of eight Scenic View of Danyang along the ride.
You could take a lot of photo with amazing background!
If you are craving more for extreme activity! Danyang is the place you should visit. There's a lot of extreme activity that you can do such as Mancheonha Alpine Coaster, Touring the Mancheonha Skywalk, Zipline, and even Paragliding!

To include a little bit of history in your itinerary will not be a big deal right? So why not you include visiting the Dodamsangbong Cliff that is also a part of 8 scenic views of Danyang. Dodamsambong is three stone peaks that are rising out from Namhangang River. The biggest rock is called Janggunbong (Husband Rock), the rock on the left side which appears to be showing coquetry is called Cheopbong (Mistress Rock), and the rock on the right side which is turning away from the big rock is called Cheobong (Wife Rock). The peaks are said to represent an angry wife turning away from her husband who has taken a concubine in order to secure a male heir. It is said that Jeong Do-jeon, a politician who made contributions to the establishment of the Joseon Dynasty, spent his young days here and used 'Sambong' as his pen name.
if you can see the three-stone behind me |
Not to mention that 2 Days 1 Night have been here with Park Bo Gum |
And don't miss a chance to hike up a bit from the Dodamsambong to witness Seongmun, a gate with towering pillars made of limestone.

surprisingly the squid is not chewy at all, it's very juicy and tasty |
*In the next post I will update about the price for each of the activity...so stay tuned!
Sincerely.
